Gbola supports the team in investment sourcing, strategic finance, capital markets strategy, and due diligence across therapeutics. He brings more than two decades of experience spanning biotechnology, equity research, investment banking, and company building. Prior to SymBiosis, Gbola served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Strategic Finance and Investor Relations at Metsera. Previously, he was a Partner and senior healthcare leader at Chardan Capital Markets, Global Head of Therapeutics Research and Managing Director at UBS, Senior Research Analyst covering European Large Cap Pharmaceuticals at Sanford C. Bernstein, and a healthcare investment banker at Goldman Sachs. During his research career, he was recognized among the top-ranked healthcare analysts by Institutional Investor. He has also served on multiple public company boards and audit committees. Gbola earned an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MD from Washington University School of Medicine, and a BSE with Honors in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
